Plus One opens at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP
Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP law firm, the oldest in New York and one of the most prestigious in the world, has selected Plus One to design and operate their 8200 square foot facility. This state of the art facility has many unique features including private bathrooms, a squash court, basketball hoop, large group classroom and a fully computerized golf simulator. This site also holds a great deal of history for Plus One as this location was formerly a Plus One commercial fitness clinic. Originally opened in October 1988, the facility experienced 13 years of success in orthopedic medicine, physical therapy, fitness, spa services and nutrition - right up until the September 11, 2001. Plus One is incredibly proud to be back in operation again at this location and to set the standard for how law firms approach the wellness of their employees.


January 2005
Plus One Launches PlusOneActive.com
Interactive Plus One, Inc and Plus One Health Management launch the re-branding of MyFitnessExpert.com to PlusOneActive.com. This new internet based personal training program has been redesigned and enhanced to suit all types of schedules and fitness goals anytime, anywhere. The program is available in two options: Plus One Active offers a 12-week customized program is based on the individual’s goals and available equipment. Plus One Active Expert offers One-on-One training via the Internet with a real dedicated fitness expert who provides individual attention, adjustments, and advice 24/7. The mission for Plus One Active is to be the Gold Standard in the delivery of programs that promote physical activity in the home, in the gym, or at work...anytime, anywhere.



April 2004

Plus One and McDonalds partnership
Plus One signs a contract with McDonalds to provide exercise programming technology and expertise for the Go Active website that McDonalds has launched to promoted physical activity across the world.

Provider for all Morgan Stanley locations in North East
Plus One signs a regional agreement with Morgan Stanley to operate all of its facilities in the northeast.


May 2003
Plus One on the West Coast
Plus One is awarded the contract to manage the 25,000 square foot fitness center for Amgen Pharmaceuticals, the largest biotech company in the world. Located in Thousand Oaks, California, this facility becomes the west coast flagship for Plus One operations.



March 2003
Plus One and the Regent Spa
Plus One is awarded the contract to manage the Regent Spa at the Regent Wall St. This marks Plus One's first luxury hotel spa in the downtown market.



April 2002
Plus One opens physical therapy clinics at four Bally's Total Fitness locations Plus One Physical Therapy signs an agreement with the Bally Total Fitness Corporation, the nation's largest commercial health club organization, to open Plus One Physical Therapy Clinics at four Bally's Total Fitness locations New York City.

Launch of Global Access Platform (GAP)
Interactive Plus One LLC and Plus One develop and implement the Global Access Platform (GAP). The GAP features an integrated collection of internet based software applications that enrolls employees, tracks membership activity, schedules appointments, accept membership payments and runs detailed reports. This software platform features www.MyFitnessExpert.com, the award winning on-line personal training service, which allows Plus One to serve members whether they are at the fitness center, at their desk, or traveling the globe. The GAP system is utilized by Fortune 500 companies such as Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, and Lehman Brothers.

Plus One opens six state-of-the art fitness centers in New York
Despite business losses suffered after September 11th, Plus One opens six state-of-the-art corporate fitness centers in New York, New Jersey, and Florida, and proceeds to have one of its finest years in business.


September 11th, 2001
Tragedy strikes Plus One
Plus One's corporate headquarters and two facilities are destroyed as a result of the attacks on the World Trade Center. With four of Plus One's top executives displaced from their homes and 7 facilities within a 10-block radius of the disaster site Plus One reopens a temporary corporate office within three days of the attacks, provides assistance in the rescue and recovery efforts, delivers payroll on time to the 400+ employees of Plus One, and reopens 5 of the 7 closed facilities within 6 days after the attacks.



March, 2001
Plus One and Goldman Sachs Fitness Exchange, Sears Tower, Chicago
Plus One opens Goldman Sachs Fitness Exchange located at the Sears Tower. This marks Plus One's first facility in Chicago.

Plus One Launches MyFitnessExpert.com
Interactive Plus One LLC and Plus One launch MyFitnessExpert.com. This Internet personal training solution enables Plus One's Team of professional exercise specialists to offer their services as virtual Fitness Experts to members in 48 states and 9 countries as a fully interactive online personal training service. The site is recognized as the leading online personal training site on the Web.

National Provider for Merrill Lynch
Plus One is selected by Merrill Lynch as the national provider for all fitness center management, physical therapy, and spa services.


September, 2000

Plus One and Merrill Lynch
Plus One is awarded a 12-year contract by Merrill Lynch to develop and manage their corporate fitness center at the Merrill Lynch World Headquarters In New York City. This state-of-the-art facility is the first corporate fitness center to integrate a spa within a corporate fitness center. This facility is also the first fitness facility to provide online personal training to all fitness center members via Plus One's proprietary system, MyFitnessExpert.com.

Plus One and The Plaza Hotel
Plus One opens the Plaza Spa at the landmark Plaza Hotel, solidifying Plus One as the market leader in luxury hotel spa management.


March, 1999
Plus One and Goldman Sachs
Plus One opens the Goldman Sachs Wellness Exchange, the largest corporate fitness center in New York City. This exclusive fitness center for Goldman Sachs employees includes extensive fitness and wellness services, a two-story rock climbing wall, and a Plus One Physical Therapy Clinic.


October, 1998
Plus One and Frontline Fitness
Plus One acquires Frontline Fitness, a leader in corporate fitness center management, programming, and design. With the addition of Frontline Fitness, Plus One assumes the management of fitness centers at Goldman Sachs, Scholastic Publishing, Prudential Securities, and Sullivan and Cromwell Law Firm.



January, 1996
Plus One and the Trump Organization
Plus One is awarded the management contract to develop and manage the Spa at Trump International Hotel and Towers, a five star property in Columbus Circle. This marks Plus One's first spa operation, and its first contract with the Trump Organization.



October, 1992
Plus One and Morgan Stanley
Plus One is awarded the management contract to operate the Morgan Stanley Executive Fitness Center at the Morgan Stanley World Headquarters in New York City. This marks Plus One's first management contract for an in-house corporate fitness center.



April, 1991
Waldorf Astoria Fitness Center
The Hilton Hotels Corporation chooses Plus One to develop and manage a Plus One Fitness Center at their flagship property, The Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Towers. This marks the first management agreement of many for Plus One to operate in a luxury hotel property.

Plus One presents its first Science of Personal Training Conference

Plus One delivers an educational event for over 300 of the finest personal trainers on the East Coast, highlighting the latest in exercise science research and practical applications. Plus One has continued to deliver this conference annually over the last five years.
