Plus One Health Management Provides ACSM Foundation with Human Performance and Internet Technology Research Grant.
NEW YORK, March 9, 2006 – Plus One Health Management, Inc., demonstrating their commitment to fostering exercise science research, as well as their leadership in new fitness training modalities, is supporting the American College of Sports Medicine Foundation with a $5,000 graduate student research grant as part of their 2005-2006 granting year. The grant is designated for human research in the area of physical activity and human performance, with an emphasis on innovative approaches to wellness solutions and education using Internet technology. The grant will be given to a selected ACSM member who will have graduate student status during the period of the grant.
“Fostering new research—particularly using new technologies—helps ensure continuing benefits for the nation’s health,” said Jim Whitehead, executive vice president of ACSM. “We applaud Plus One for stepping forward. This partnership will encourage professionals to confirm what works most effectively today and to discover what new approaches will produce the most progress in the future.”
